Live action at the Scottish Modified Car Show on Sunday 19th July 2009
We are delighted to announce live performance by
Scotland's Cycle Stunt Team - THE CLAN.
The Clan is a Mountain Bike, BMX and Trials cycling display team offering the most exciting and daring bike display shows in the UK. In addition to this, we are THE interactive bike display with loads of have-a-go opportunities for the public to get active and get into cycling, such as taking on our all-ability 'Timbertrail’ bike obstacle course coached by the team.
The Clan's show brings up to 5 bicycle riders from all corners of Scotland, all with different riding styles, all with an infectious passion for riding bicycles to their limits. We have a show to cater for every event from small schools right though to national festivals.
If you're looking for something inspirational, fun or just different and for everyone to have a fantastic time, then you’ve found it here with - THE CLAN!
MEET THE CLAN TEAM...
The Clan consists of the finest bicycle riding talent that Scotland has to offer. 5 riders with unique styles are led by Danny Macaskill, from the Isle of Skye, arguably the most talented bike rider in Britain and a street trials rider of international standard.
The first of three cycling disciplines represented is trials. As well as Danny's smooth, flowing trials style, Duncan Shaw, from Inverness, adds another vibe to the show. Duncan's riding style is more precision-based, riding a 20" wheel bike hopping over and around obstacles (and people!) during the show.
Our mountain bikers are Lynne Aitchison, from the Scottish Borders, and Fraser McNeil, from Linlithgow . Lynne is a successful downhill mountain bike racer who specialises in jumping with various parts of her body detached from the bike! Fraser is a super-smooth jumper who makes big air and big tricks look easy with his style of riding.
Our sole BMXer is Nash Masson, from Aviemore. Watch out for Nash's fearless approach to learning new tricks on his brakeless BMX.
Commentating is Iain Withers, former bicycle messenger from Edinburgh.
