The latest instalment in the run up to the Scottish modified car show 2008 is Leo’s absolutely minted, Honda Crx Del-Sol. When I first saw the car I was amazed at how tidy it was, the paint, the wheels and especially the interior. Leo bought the car a few years ago and it is now over 10 years old and has just covered 60 000 miles, its amazing.
I have always maintained that the CRX del sol is a timeless car, and Leo’s is no different. It still turns heads today, they are cracking little cars and they definitely wear their mods well. Leo’s is a shining example, I have seen countless del sol’s modified but there are always 2 that stick in my mind, Jenson’s orange one which was featured a few years back and Leo’s.
Although it is not obvious from the photos or the video, but the paint job is tremendous, we had the shoot up at dean castle in Kilmarnock and it was a stunning day. With the castle in the background and the sun belting down the car looked amazing, everyone stopped and stared it was actually becoming annoying trying to film it.
The car was an absolute pleasure to shoot and you can tell that Leo has an immense passion for Modifying. But this seems to run in the family. His brother also has a CRX, which is nearly finished, we were hoping to do a double shoot but unfortunately the car wasn’t finished in time. He mentioned to me he wants to sell it, but lets see if he can let it go.
